MEET ABBY
Abby is a Lancaster County native and 2020 graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School. Her passion for physical therapy began after experiencing rehabilitation firsthand for two sports-related injuries in high school. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2024 and Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2026 from Lebanon Valley College (LVC), completing a 16-week full-time clinical rotation at Prana.
ABBY’S JOURNEY & CLINICAL INTERESTS
During her time at LVC, Abby was an active member of the swim team and participated in the CURE Clinic, anatomy research, and research focused on hypermobility and hEDS. She collaborated with faculty and peers to develop a free anatomy fundamentals study manual for healthcare students. Her capstone research evaluated the effects of the Body Braid on balance, body awareness, and pain in individuals with hEDS and HSD. This work holds special meaning for Abby because of her own experience with hypermobility. She brings a strong foundation in manual therapy and swimming exercise programming, along with a particular interest in helping individuals better understand and manage their bodies.
Abby’s international experiences also broadened her perspective on healthcare and physical therapy education. She spent a semester in Dublin, Ireland, studying and working alongside Irish physical therapy students, and traveled throughout Poland to learn about its healthcare and education systems in comparison with those in the United States.
LIFE OUTSIDE THE CLINIC
Outside of Prana, Abby enjoys reading, swimming, crocheting, arts and crafts, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to begin her physical therapy career at Prana and looks forward to helping patients achieve their goals and enjoy a more active, fulfilling life.
"I so appreciated my therapy with the Prana Team. "Appreciated" is an odd word for expressing/conveying/describing the new lease on life! I feel 10 years younger and 50 times stronger!"
Mary Y.
"I cannot thank you enough what you did for everything you did for me. I literally feel like a new person and everyday I appreciate not having constant pain in my neck, shoulder and arm."
Erica M.

Functional Manual Therapy® is an approach to patient care coined and developed by Gregory and Vicky Johnson in the early 1990’s.
We are unique in that we do not have any physical therapy assistants on staff; we provide all our patients direct contact with a licensed physical therapist for personalized, one-on-one treatment sessions

Dawn is a CFMT (certified functional manual therapist), which means she is only one of 4 in Pennsylvania to be certified with this proven, effective system for treatment of a wide spectrum of patients.
Justin, Heather, Charlie, Shannon, Joseph, Sean, and Adam are also very knowledgeable in functional manual therapy as this is Prana's paradigm of treatment.
Natalie can help you with all of your billing questions. And with Lori and Brandy, they can get you scheduled, take your payment and facilitate any logistical questions to get you started.
