Meet Adam

Adam Alton

PT, DPT, LAT, ATC

Adam originally grew up in northern Maryland before moving to Hanover, Pennsylvania. He has played soccer since he was young and decided to follow his dreams of playing soccer in college while pursuing his career. This led him to choosing East Stroudsburg University to be a collegiate athlete and obtain his B.S in Athletic Training in 2014. Adam maintains his PA Athletic Training license with his physical therapy degree.

After completing his undergraduate degree, he chose to continue his education. Adam decided upon Widener University in 2018, in order to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Through his time at Widener, he served as the vice president of his class and an active member of the Chester Community Pro Bono clinic. It was at this clinic, where Adam was able to work with a very diverse patient population and was able to utilize his 7 years of prior Spanish education. Throughout his internship rotations, Adam further solidified his love for all types of outpatient physical therapy (orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurological, etc.). After spending 12 great weeks at Prana as a student, Adam was sure of two things. He wanted to make a difference in his patients’ lives and he didn’t want to leave Prana. Adam values the ability to continue growing as a clinician by practicing here at Prana.

When not working, Adam can be found playing sports, spending time with his dog, hiking with his girlfriend, and discovering all of the outdoor adventures that life has to offer. Adam loves to travel and plans on visiting all 50 states at some point of his life. He also loves to be challenged with his Spanish speaking proficiency, and is more than happy to work with any Latinx patients. Adam always can be found with a big smile on his face so don’t be afraid to say hello!

Functional Manual Therapy

Functional Manual Therapy® is an approach to patient care coined and developed by Gregory and Vicky Johnson in the early 1990’s.

We are unique in that we do not have any physical therapy assistants on staff; we provide all our patients direct contact with a licensed physical therapist for personalized, one-on-one treatment sessions

The Prana Team

Dawn is a CFMT (certified functional manual therapist), which means she is only one of 4 in Pennsylvania to be certified with this proven, effective system for treatment of a wide spectrum of patients.

Justin, Heather, Charlie, Shannon, Joseph, Sean, and Adam are also very knowledgeable in functional manual therapy as this is Prana's paradigm of treatment.

Natalie can help you with all of your billing questions. And with Lori and Brandy, they can get you scheduled, take your payment and facilitate any logistical questions to get you started.
