Meet Justin

Justin Geissinger

PT, DPT

Justin Geissinger is a Lancaster County native with a passion for building community in Lancaster City. A 1999 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, physical therapy is a second career for Justin and an adventure that marries his interest in the workings of the human body and his desire to build impactful relationships with people in his community.

Justin attended Virginia Tech, where he graduated with a degree in Marketing in 2003. During that time he developed a taste for fine southern living that includes an affinity for bluegrass, hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Hokie football. He spent six years working in the business world as a Purchasing Manager for a local company. Though there were parts of his job that he enjoyed, Justin felt something was missing from his professional life and he sought to make a change. After considering a number of different career paths and shadowing professionals in various careers, it became increasingly clear physical therapy would be a perfect fit. So, in the summer of 2008, Justin quit his job in business to begin taking classes towards his physical therapy degree. While in school, Justin juggled multiple part-time jobs, his course work and being a stay-at-home dad of a newborn baby girl. Finally, in May of 2012, Justin graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Neumann University and was happy to join the Prana team shortly thereafter. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn the newest techniques of functional manual therapy and incorporate them into the treatment of his patients, whether it be to get them back out on the track or athletic field, or back to playing with their grandkids pain-free.

Justin is an avid runner, often seen running around the West End of Lancaster City, or on the trails of the County Park. He is constantly chasing down new PR’s (personal records) at local road races, specifically 5k’s, 5-miler’s and the occasional marathon. Justin seeks out ways of building community, whether it’s “on the block,” in the city, or at his church. He is also a dedicated gardener, amateur foodie and budding ice-cream maker. When he’s not at work, Justin can be found playing with his beautiful children Kristin, Ella and Ethan. His wife, Sarah, is obviously the best thing that ever happened to him, and the Geissinger family loves living in the West End.

"...for my 50th high school reunion, I actually danced the twist to Chubby Checker's original music! Thanks so much for all the help from all of you."

“I have been going to Prana for over 10 years now, and it is still one of my favorite places to be. I have seen Prana grow exponentially over the years. The entire Prana team is so friendly and welcoming, but they are also amazingly talented at what they do. As a dancer, I have to be selective about who I trust to treat my injuries. Dawn has magic hands that have been able to help me out of some of the toughest injuries. I always walk out of Prana feeling better than when I walked in- there is no issue they have not been able to help me with. Prana will always be my number one choice for physical therapy!”

Meet our Team

Functional Manual Therapy

Functional Manual Therapy® is an approach to patient care coined and developed by Gregory and Vicky Johnson in the early 1990’s.

We are unique in that we do not have any physical therapy assistants on staff; we provide all our patients direct contact with a licensed physical therapist for personalized, one-on-one treatment sessions

Meet our Team

Dawn is a CFMT (certified functional manual therapist), which means she is only one of 4 in Pennsylvania to be certified with this proven, effective system for treatment of a wide spectrum of patients.

Justin, Heather, Charlie, Shannon, Joseph, Sean, and Adam are also very knowledgeable in functional manual therapy as this is Prana's paradigm of treatment.

Natalie can help you with all of your billing questions. And with Lori and Brandy, they can get you scheduled, take your payment and facilitate any logistical questions to get you started.
